Going bald for St. Baldrick’s

The Student Osteopathic Medical Association at A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine hosted a St. Baldricks event in the Centennial Commons on March 1, 2014. Seven osteopathic medical students and fellows in total shaved their heads in support of the cause.
St. Baldrick’s events have raised approximately $118 million, providing research grants to doctors and scientists at more than 200 institutions to pursue the most promising new cures for childhood cancer, in addition to making clinical trials available to more children than ever. Since 2000, St. Baldrick’s has hosted more than 4,200 head-shaving events, shaving more than 190, 000 heads in 28 countries and 50 U.S. states. Donations can be made at www.StBaldricks.org/events/
