KCOM goes bald and beautiful to support children with cancer

A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) students and faculty made a “bald” statement on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, by shaving their heads in support of children who are fighting cancer.

Participants raised funds for childhood cancer research by partnering with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, whose events have raised approximately $118 million, providing research grants to doctors and scientists at more than 200 institutions to pursue the most promising new cures for childhood cancer. ATSU-KCOM raised more than $3,000 for the cause.

This event was sponsored by the Student Osteopathic Medical Association.Baldrick's
