Tucker awarded Wetzel Scholarship
Posted: May 24, 2013James Tucker, OMS II, has been awarded the prestigious Wetzel Scholarship from the William L. Wetzel Education and Research Foundation, a non-profit Foundation and an affiliate of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS). Tucker received the Scholarship on April 27, 2013 at the Missouri Osteopathic Annual Convention held at The Lodge of Four Seasons.
The Wetzel Foundation’s Scholarship Committee selects the winners based on academics, leadership potential, and dedication to the principles of osteopathic medicine. Recipients receive a financial scholarship annually until post-graduate training is completed. Scholars also attend the Missouri Osteopathic Annual Convention expense free during their training years. Tucker attended the Annual Convention and participated in the MAOPS House of Delegates, the Young Physicians Committee, and other activities designed for the future leaders of the organization.
