Museum receives induction into Compagnons of Osteopathy

Museum logo 1.7The Museum of Osteopathic Medicine and International Center for Osteopathic History (MOM-ICOH) is the first institution inducted into, “The Compagnons” from the Collége d’ Études Osteopathiques. The honorary status was bestowed June 4, 2016, in Quebec, Montreal. 

The Compagnons represents the highest honor of the Montreal Osteopathic School including many well-known past recipients in the osteopathic profession including the founder of the first Canadian Osteopathic College, Philippe Druelle DO, F (Qc). The Compagnons are leaders in research and/or teaching and have made promoting osteopathic healthcare a priority in their life.

MOM-ICOH has been working with the Montreal base Collége d’ Études Osteopathiques since 2001; assisting students and faculty complete their thesis, books, and research by providing pertinent historical information.

The announcement, along with a donation to MOM-ICOH for $2,000 to help care for the collection, was made at the Collége d’ Études Osteopathiques graduation banquet.
