ASDOH alumnus named director of new Washington clinic
Posted: July 21, 2009Brenden Davis, D.M.D., M.P.H., ’09, was recently named dental director of a new, yet-to-be-named community dental clinic in Ellensburg, Wash., that is due to open in November 2009.
The clinic will be associated with Community Health of Central Washington (CHCW) and will serve low income, migrant, and homeless populations in Washington’s Kittitas County. According to Dr. Davis, CHCW CEO Michael Maples selected him because his CV was “head and shoulders” above other applicants, something Dr. Davis attributes to his experience with A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH) and its online School of Health Management (SHM).
“I’m appreciative to ASDOH and SHM for providing me with the education and experience I needed to be offered this challenging and exciting position,” he said. “I look forward to applying the public health principles I’ve learned in the set up and implementation of this new clinic.”
