ASDOH student garners ADA award
Posted: October 12, 2009Casey Jones, a fourth-year ATSU-ASDOH student, won third place in the Clinical/Public Health Category for her poster presentation at the International Association of Student Clinicians – American Dental Association’s Annual Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her award was presented for The Effect of Intensive Fluoride Varnish Treatment on Streptococcus mutans and Other Oral Bacteria in Pre-cooperative Children with Early Childhood Caries: A Pilot Study.
The Student Clinician Research Program is conducted by the American Dental Association and sponsored by DENTSPLY International. It provides the opportunity for one student from each accredited dental school in the United States and Puerto Rico to receive an expense paid trip to participate in the American Dental Association’s Scientific Session.
