ASHS alumni gather at first reunion
Posted: April 8, 2009ATSU’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ASHS) held its first alumni reunion on March 28 on the Arizona Campus. Alumni from graduating classes 1997-2008 attended the reunion and participated in the day’s events.
“I was very pleased with our first ever ‘All ASHS Alumni Reunion’,” said Randy Danielsen, Ph.D., PA-C, DFAAPA, dean of ASHS. “For many alumni, this was their first time visiting the Campus since graduation. They were able to participate in continuing education and were updated on the progress the School is making. It was great to see the enthusiasm for what we are doing, and we look forward to future reunions.”
The event offered various activities for alumni, including a Tai Chi class, a hands-on anatomy review, and Campus tours. The reunion concluded with a dinner reception where Kimberly Casper, PA ’10, was awarded the Samuelsen Pay-It Forward scholarship of $1,000 from Jackie Samuelsen, M.S., PA ’08.
“The event was a success,” said Rachel Zivney, assistant director of alumni services. “Reunions are a great way for our alumni to network with each other as well as to reconnect with the University.”
