ATSU-ASHS holds donation drive for Georgia community in wake of tornadoes

Faculty and staff of A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) are collecting donations to benefit local shelters in Albany, Georgia.

Albany is among the south-Georgia communities affected by severe weather in recent weeks. Since January, the city has suffered two major storms, including tornado activity. It is also the home of a community health center that partners with the ATSU-ASHS Physician Assistant Studies program for clinical-year education.

Many Albany homes have been damaged or destroyed, and residents have been displaced. The storms have burdened local shelters, and they are in desperate need of basic supplies including hygiene items, bottles, sippy cups, clothes and shoes of all sizes, and Visa gift cards.

If you would like to donate items, contact Tessa Tibben at ttibben@atsu.edu.
