Athletic training reception held at NATA conference

Below is a summary of the updates shared at the reception:

• “We’re proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of ATSU-ASHS this year,” said Dr. Danielsen. “And we have the hard work of our alumni, faculty, staff, and students from the last two decades to thank for this milestone.” Check out the quick summary of what ATSU-ASHS has accomplished in this time.
• The athletic training programs have grown substantially over the years. We are happy to congratulate our 19th class graduating from the master’s program next month, and are also excited to see our first class of DAT students in person at the NATA conference.
• Congratulations to Dr. Alison Snyder Valier on being named a Fellow of the NATA this year! We are proud of all the research and service she has contributed to the athletic training profession and to ATSU.
• Dr. Sauers was honored with the ATSU-ASHS Alumni Chapter’s Living Tribute Award this year for his efforts to make the ATSU AT program one of the premier programs in the country.
• Many thanks to our donors who gave more than $950 to the Dwight Patterson Youth Sports Scholarship at the event. We greatly appreciate the support our alumni and friends have shown to our students throughout the years. To learn more and to make a gift, visit the Dwight Patterson Youth Sports Scholarship page.
