ATSU-ASHS alumna profile | Jamie Kuettel, PT, DPT, NCS, GCS ’10

Jamie Kuettel, PT, DPT, NCS, GCS ’10, is currently a physical therapist at outpatient HonorHealth Osborn in Scottsdale, Arizona, specializing in neurologic, geriatric and vestibular rehabilitation. Dr. Kuettel has worked for Honorhealth since graduating in 2010 immediately recognizing her passion for treating patients with neurologic diagnosis. In 2012, Dr. Kuettel participated in the Honorhealth/Northern Arizona University (NAU) neurologic residency program which allowed her to sit and pass her neurologic specialty exam in 2013. She also became vestibular rehab certified in 2013 and later earned her ABPTS Geriatric specialist certification in 2015. Dr. Kuettel’s role in the HonorHealth/NAU residency program grew and she has become a primary mentor for the outpatient rotation of the residency program. Dr. Kuettel also enjoys being a Clinical Instructor for students in their second year of physical therapy school.

In 2015, Dr. Kuettel began performing adjunct faculty work at A.T. Still University assisting in both the neurologic rehab and geriatric labs. She has furthered her professional participation in the APTA and became an Arizona Delegate for the House of Delegates in 2016/2017. Dr. Kuettel presented a case study poster at APTA’s Combined Sections Meeting in 2016 detailing her work with a patient status/post CVA with ankle contracture and specific treatment interventions. She has submitted approval for a poster for CSM 2017 involving a case series identifying the correlations between improved hip extension strength as measured by the supine hip extension test and improved gait speed and balance.

Outside of work, Dr. Kuettel enjoys spending time with her husband, Jesse, and children Chloe and Jett. She enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, running, crafting, and supporting University of Arizona athletics!
