ATSU-ASHS announces new Physical Therapy department chair

Lori Bordenave, PT, DPT, PhD

Lori Bordenave, PT, DPT, PhD, was announced in June as the new A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) Physical Therapy department chair. 

Dr. Bordenave began as an adjunct professor at ATSU in 1995 before later becoming academic clinical coordinator and assistant professor. She has also served as assistant chair, acting chair, director of progression and retention, doctor of physical therapy program director, and most recently interim chair of the department. In that role, Dr. Bordenave oversaw four programs, including the entry level doctor of physical therapy program, postprofessional doctor of physical therapy program, orthopedic physical therapy residency program, and neurological physical therapy residency program. She has also assisted in overseeing the physical therapy and occupational therapy clinic.  

Dr. Bordenave completed and is a fellow of the Education Leadership Institute. She holds and has held multiple roles within the American Physical Therapy Association and is well known for her dedication and commitment to the profession. 

Additionally, Dr. Bordenave has been an associate professor since 2006 and has progressively published and presented in peer reviewed journals and conferences.
