Toni R. Patterson, DO, FAOCA, ’79, has been listed as 101 Physician Leaders to Know in the ambulatory surgery center industry. Dr. Patterson is an anesthesiologist and medical director of Mid-Rivers Surgery Center in Saint Peters, Mo. She is a physician with Physician Anesthesia Associates in St. Louis and serves as a member of a group that covers six ambulatory surgical centers. She previously served as president of the American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists. The organization gave her the 2013 AOCA Distinguished Service Award in October. Mid-Rivers Surgery Center is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and includes two operating rooms and one treatment room. It offers procedures in a wide array of specialties, such as general surgery, ophthalmology, pain management, ENT and gastroenterology.
