ATSU-KCOM microbiology department garners award

A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) department of microbiology/immunology, is the recipient of the 2013 American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) Society of Osteopathic Medical Educators (SOME) Innovation in Medical Education Award. The award for Innovation in Basic Science Medical Education will be presented at the annual AACOM Awards Banquet held in conjunction with the Joint AACOM and Association of Osteopathic Directors and Medical Educators Annual Meeting in Baltimore, April 24-27.

“This was a joint research project, and we are honored to receive the recognition,” said Neal Chamberlain, PhD, professor, microbiology/immunology, ATSU-KCOM.

In addition, the project that was submitted to SOME for the award was published in Medical Education Online.
