A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) students participated in a Christmas-themed simulation at the Drabing Human Patient Simulation Center. The students were exposed to different scenarios featuring many famous Christmas characters. Frosty the Snowman was in for a nose job, but had complications from the anesthesia. Santa Claus was there for Type 2 Diabetes. The Grinch had an aortic dissection because his heart grew too big. Also, grandma got run over by a reindeer in the new immersion room.
“The holiday HPS lab was a great way to learn new information and review information from past lectures,” said Emily Gudenkauf, OMS II. “It was such a fun experience!”
