ATSU Research Week

This spring, ATSU hosted the Mesa IRC Research Symposium. Throughout the week, the faculty presented their research to interested staff and students. Dr. McLeod presented her study on “The Barrow Concussion Network: Collaborating to Make Sports Safer.” Dr. Welch presented “Healthcare professionals concussion management practices and the use of academic accommodations for adolescent athletes following a sport-related concussion.” Barton Anderson presented “Characteristics of Post-Professional Athletic Training Clinical Education Experiences.” Dr. Bliven presented “Power production with performance mouth guards: a mixed models assessment using electromyography.” Dr. Lam presented “The Impact of Sport-Related Lower Extremity Injuries on Patient-Oriented Outcomes.” Students were also invited to present their research during a poster presentation session to end the week. ATSU students Melissa Kay, Kristina Dunn, Arika Cozzi, and Cassandra Erickson presented.
