ATSU-SOMA students gear up for third year
Posted: November 4, 2009Our first medical student class of 2011 has begun their third-year clerk- ships rotating among surgery, family medicine, internal (or adult) medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, and electives. Each student has a different clerkship schedule and will be doing family practice and pediatric rotations at HealthPoint throughout the year.
At the end of August, we welcomed the class of 2012, the second ATSU medical student class to arrive at HealthPoint. They have recently finished their first year in Arizona and are moving to Seattle (with families in tow) to start their second year. We are excited to incorporate lessons learned from our current third years to benefit their experience.
We have begun the fourth application season, and as of July 2009, ATSU-SOMA is the most competitive osteopathic school in the nation with more applications per seat than any other D.O. school.
