ATSU to host third annual Still Spirit Awards

Award recognizes excellence in supporting community business, service, and government

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. (Feb. 12, 2007) – A.T. Still University (ATSU) is recognizing individuals in the Kirksville community who have demonstrated a spirit of giving and contributed to the growth and continued success of the city and the region. All residents of northeast Missouri are invited and encouraged to assist in the selection of 2007 Still Spirit Award recipients by submitting your nominations for the following four categories: Community Volunteer of the Year, Community Business Leader of the Year, Community Not-For-Profit Leader of the Year, and Community Government Leader of the Year.

Those wishing to nominate a candidate need to complete a nomination form and a brief written statement of support for each candidate. Forms are available for completion and submission on-line at www.atsu.edu/spirit, by calling the ATSU Communications office at 660.626.2272, or via e-mail request at communications@atsu.edu. The deadline for submitting a nomination is 5 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2007.

ATSU will host the 2007 Still Spirit Awards Ceremony & Reception on Friday, April 13, 2007, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in Centennial Commons on ATSU’s Kirksville campus at 800 West Jefferson Street. Please reserve this date on your calendar and plan to join the University in celebrating the accomplishments of the special people who have benefited Kirksville and our region.
