Audiology faculty appointed to EAA board
Posted: December 11, 2009Audiology Assistant Professor Les Schmeltz, Au.D., was recently appointed to the Educational Audiology Association (EAA) Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large through 2011. The EAA is an international organization of audiologists and related professionals who deliver a full spectrum of hearing services to children, particularly those in educational settings. The mission of the organization is to act as the primary resource and as an active advocate for its members through its publications and products, continuing education activities, networking opportunities, and other professional endeavors.
“During my term, I hope to represent the interests of Au.D. training programs and the students in those programs,” said Dr. Schmeltz. “By making EAA the ‘go to’ resource for students, I hope to encourage more students to get involved in educational audiology as a career choice.”
