Inaugural ATSU-MOSDOH class receives white coat

Kate Avery, D1, receives her white coat from Christopher Halliday, DDS, MPH, dean.

A.T. Still University has made history, as the inaugural Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) class of 2017 was inducted on Sept. 28, 2013 at the White Coat Ceremony.

The ceremony was held at Ophelia Parrish Hall on the Truman State University campus.

Each student was presented with a white doctor’s coat and pin to symbolize the importance and service of becoming a physician.

Christopher Halliday, DDS, MPH, dean, was the keynote speaker. Liz Kaz, EdD, MS, presented the Key to the Class. Christine Beeson, OMS II, ATSU-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine class president, welcomed the new students to the ATSU family.

The inaugural class has 42 members. Classes begin Oct. 1, 2013.
