OPSO installs KCOM alumnus as president
Posted: November 11, 2009Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon (OPSO) installed Kevin Miller, D.O., a board certified family practice osteopathic physician from Sisters, Ore., as the 2009-11 OPSO president at a ceremony on September 26.
Dr. Miller earned his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine where he completed an additional year fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine. He completed a residency in family medicine at Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, at Ohio University.
In addition to his involvement with OPSO, Dr. Miller is the president and founder of Diabetes Nation, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing diabetes care and awareness in the public and private sector. Through this work, Dr. Miller has co-authored the Diabetes Intervention and Management with Excellence Program® (DIME) a chronic disease treatment algorithm designed to improve primary care performance in diabetes patient care. Dr. Miller believes disease prevention is critical for improving the health of our nation.
Dr. Miller resides in Sisters with wife, Eden Miller, D.O., and their children, Michaela and Lexie.
