Patel selected as Hollister fellow
Posted: December 4, 2009Sager M. Patel, OMS II, has been selected as the seventh Hollister-KCOM Clinical Research Fellow. Patel’s fellowship will run from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011 at which time he will resume his third-year clinical training.
The Hollister fellowship provides select KCOM students who have completed their second year of medical school an opportunity to receive intense training in medical products research, development, and testing. The Hollister fellow will be enrolled in KCOM’s Graduate Program leading to a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences degree upon fulfillment of the course of study and training. The fellow will receive guidance from both KCOM faculty and Hollister Incorporated personnel, who are also adjunct faculty at KCOM.
The fellow will be involved in all aspects of the design and testing of specific medically related products in both the laboratory setting and in human subjects, leading to the development and refinement of products of commercial value and contribution to patient healthcare.
