The A.T. Still Memorial Library and A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) worked together to acquire new portable osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) tables to be available to loan one to each eight-person batch group.
The library owns and loans out portable OMM tables in more typical times to individuals, as well as providing access to permanent tables for practice in the library space itself, but the numbers were not large enough to provide access to all students without physical access to the library. In order to ensure equitable access to tables for all first and second years in ATSU-KCOM, the College and the library together purchased an additional 23 tables.
This means that every batch in their first and second years can have a table to share for the entire term. Groups can borrow tables right now, which will then be due back Dec. 20. In the spring, tables will be able to be borrowed again when students return to campus after the break and quarantine period and will not be due back until early June.
How this works:
For more information, please see the portable OMM table page at the bottom left menu on the library’s OMM guide.
The due date to return tables to the library is December 17th, not the 20th.
