Tempe Lake Moon

Associate Provost-Arizona and photographer Ted Wendel, Ph.D., captured this image in Fall 2008 from the north shore of Tempe Lake in Tempe, Ariz.

“I saw the reflection several times as I drove home from basketball games,” he says. “I set up to capture the sunset but didn’t like those images. This image originally had the moon in it, but I didn’t like the look because it was just a big white ball, so the moon in the image has been enhanced to reflect more detail. I used a Nikon D300 with a 70-200mm F2.8 lens.”
