The Vagina Monologues
Posted: April 3, 2009The V-Day Campaign has come to KCOM. The National Osteopathic Women Physician’s Organization (NOWPA) presents The Vagina Monologues to be held April 18 at 7 p.m. in the Mehegan classroom on the Missouri Campus. A $5 at-the-door donation is suggested, and all proceeds from the event will go to anti-violence organizations including a local women’s shelter and this year’s V-Day Spotlight, Women in the Congo.
The V-Day Campaign was founded in 1998 by Eve Ensler as a global movement to stop violence against women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations.
