Three A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) students recently attended the Western Regional Dental Conference in Glendale, Arizona. The Western Regional Dental Conference welcomes over 6,000 attendees and consists of over 75 continuing education courses and over 300 commercial exhibits. This conference is one of the largest and well-respected dental conventions in the country.

Nicole Tasooji, D4, Pearce Ollar, D3, and Taylor Velasquez, D3, represented ATSU-ASDOH in this three-day conference. Both Pearce Ollar and Taylor Velasquez received second and third place awards during the student poster competition.

Ann Spolarich, RDH, PhD, could not be more proud of the three students in attendance.

“Our students represented ASDOH and the University extremely well. Please join me in congratulating all of these students for their efforts and achievements.”

  • Nicole Tasooji, “Nasal MRSA Colonization in Dental Students”
  • Pearce Ollar, “Orthodontists’ Interests and Behaviors with Treating Patients with ID/DD” (second place winner)
  • Taylor Velasquez, “Day for Special Smiles: Exposure of Pre-Clinical Dental Students to Patients with Special Needs” (third place winner)
